Nearly six years after I first bought the fabric for this tiny dress, I have a sweet little girl to wear it. God is good!

Such fun to have a daughter!

I'm a 31-year-old Christian. My hope is to live a quiet life filled with home and hearth, family and friends, loveliness and simplicity. I'm wife to Douglas (married October 2008) and mother to Edmund (born November 2009), Lavinia (born May 2012), and Rosamund (born February 2014).

It's my pleasure! Thank you for the compliment!
DeleteOh this is darling!!! I absolutely adore it! We have just found out I'm pregnant with our 3rd & I am already swooning over little vintage baby outfits & bonnets. I'm off to check out that vintage pattern store.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! How exciting! :)
DeleteShe looks adorable in the hat and dress! I love your dress too- was that the one you wore as your going away outfit?
ReplyDeleteYes, it's the same dress! As a matter of fact, I don't think I've worn it since Easter 2009, so it feels new again! :)
DeleteAdorable!
ReplyDeleteThank you! :)
DeleteThese pictures are so precious! Lavina looks like a mini-you! ;) Being a long-time blog reader, this is a wonderful encouragement to me, who has saved stuff for years and have begun wondering if I should get rid of it. Blessings to you and your family!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Cheri, that's good to hear -- most people say she looks like Douglas so it's nice to hear someone can see me in her, too. :-P I know what you mean, I wonder about getting rid of things too, especially if I am saving it for "a hope deferred," but so far I haven't. God is good and he fills me with peace and hope even when I don't have any of my own left. God bless you, too. :)
DeleteYou two are so beautiful. Clothes, hats and everything!
ReplyDeleteAww, thanks! It was fun to get so dressed up. :)
DeleteHow cute! This is a beautiful mother/daughter photo, and you both look so vintage with the cloche hats and charming frocks.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter!
Thank you, Katrina! Happy Easter to you too!
DeleteWow! I do remember reading those posts. Amazing! I didn't know I'd been reading your blog for so long but I can't say I'm surprised.;-) It's always been so exciting to read and I really enjoy each new post. Lovely mother/daughter picture too by the way. :-)
ReplyDeleteOh, thanks Hannah! I knew there must be a few out there. :) Can you believe how the time has flown by?!
DeleteSo lovely, thank you for all of the inspiration.
