I've been taking inspiration from your posts. ;)Serenahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00959242204818975269noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3513749333350881349.post-16605801095667890512011-07-29T22:43:24.340-05:002011-07-29T22:43:24.340-05:00Thanks, Hannah! So the struggle is to get it to stay curled!Laurahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11234162572763034574noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3513749333350881349.post-49609464390023801392011-07-28T20:16:54.526-05:002011-07-28T20:16:54.526-05:00I LOVE that skirt! I considered doing assymetrical ruffles (like this top) on my Lisette top, but decided the print was too busy for that. Another option would be some vintage lace at the neckline (and sleeves, if desired). I've seen some sewists do tucks instead of the large center pleat, which would be pretty and delicate (although tricky on silk!). I hope that gets your brain churning... I'd love to see what you come up with! I'd like to do a silk version, myself!Laurahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11234162572763034574noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3513749333350881349.post-1435642461649993412011-07-26T21:23:46.877-05:002011-07-26T21:23:46.877-05:00If you had a dark gold piece of silk (think Marian...If you had a dark gold piece of silk (think Marianne's dress color in the Emma Thompson version of S&S when she plays the piano forte and the Colonel walks in) that happened to be enough yardage for the Sorbetto top, how would you dress it up? I'm really liking yours, but am not sure how to go about making a dressy silk one, so I wanted your opinion. :)Cherihttp://www.ajoyfulhandmaiden.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.com
